Fans of the hit CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" won't need to work out any mind-bending equations to figure out if the hit show will remain on the air - the network has just announced that they renewed the series for three more seasons.

This means that the adventures of Leonard, Sheldon, Penny and the whole crew will carry on through 2014 at the very least.

"It doesn't take a theoretical physicist to see why this show is a big part of our comedy future," said CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler. "From ratings to critical acclaim to pop culture buzz, it's struck a chord on all levels."

"The Big Bang Theory" premiered in 2007 and was met with positive reviews. Since then the series has garnered a significant fan base and a number of prestigious awards.

It also doesn't hurt that the star of the show, Johnny Galecki, was known for his work on the popular '90s comedy "Roseanne."
