Emma Stone cast as Gwen Stacy in "Spider-Man 4"

It looks like the red hair threw the rumor mill off. While "Zombieland" and "The Rocker" actress Emma Watson was originally thought to have been offered the part of Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming "Spider-Man 4," the starlet is in fact set to play another character in the film. According to Entertainment Weekly, Stone has been cast as a main lead in the fourth chapter of the series as Gwen Stacy, a character with romantic inclinations for Peter Parker. She will be taking over the role from Bryce Dallas Howard. This latest installment of the popular superhero franchise promises to be an exciting one. While many people were sad to see the departure of Tobey Maguire as the title character, moviegoers are reportedly waiting with baited breath for Andrew Garfield of the "The Social Network" to fill his shoes. "Spider-Man 4" will also be directed by Marc Webb, who won acclaim for his anti-rom-com "(500) Days of Summer."
