Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith, takes on his first leading role as Dre Parker, a young kid who moves with his mother, Sherry (Taraji B. Henson), to China. Once there, Dre becomes an outcast.
However, it isn't long before he befriends Mr Han (Jackie Chan), a martial arts whiz. Han eventually trains Dre in Kung Fu in order to help him beat his enemies and take first prize at a local fighting competition.
While Smith is enigmatic in the leading role, this isn't his first foray into acting. In fact, the 10-year-old performer starred alongside his superstar father in the 2006 drama "The Pursuit of Happyness" and appeared in the 2008 sci-fi thriller "The Day the Earth Stood Still."
Smith has two films currently in development.
