Print this article News of the Barefoot Bandit's capture has spread like wildfire across the country, and it's easy to see why. The 19-year-old criminal, Colton Harris-Moore, has led a life that reads like a screenwriter's dream.
Not so surprisingly, 20th Century Fox has already nabbed screen rights to Harris-Moore's story, according to CNN.com. Still, insiders are wondering who will play the unlikely antihero.
Randi Hiller, the casting director for "Crash" and "Iron Man," gave his two-cents on the matter.
"Logan Lerman. He's young, he's charming and he's a really good actor," Hiller told the news source.
Lerman most recently starred in "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," and also appeared in "3:10 to Yuma."
The news source pointed out that Harris-Moore is 6-foot-5, so finding such a tall actor may prove difficult. However, casting director Tammara Billik maintains that looks shouldn't be the sole factor in deciding who is offered the role.
"You don't want somebody who can't act, but looks exactly like the guy," she told the news outlet.
