It looks like an already troubled film is now without a man at the helm. According to the Hollywood Reporter, David O. Russell has quit his gig directing the movie "Nailed."

"This has been a painful process for me...I, unfortunately, am no longer involved in the project and cannot call it my film," Russell recently told the news source.

With A-list stars such as Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal in the cast, the latest roadblock may be one the producers hope to overcome quickly. The film reportedly is being made for $26 million, and has encountered several financing difficulties.

According to the news source, the plot of "Nailed" revolves around "a small-town waitress who is shot in the head by a nail gun and later goes to Washington to fight for better health care; there, she meets a clueless congressman, and a romance develops."

Russell has directed some commendable films, such as the war drama "Three Kings" and the quirky comedy "I Heart Huckabees." He is also rumored to be helming "Pride and Prejudice Zombies," a horror romance-thriller based on the popular book by Seth Grahame-Smith.ADNFCR-2673-ID-19892123-ADNFCR
