The nominations for the 62nd annual Emmy Awards were announced, and it looks like the ceremony will be one to remember.

In fact, several performers up for the golden statuette are first-time contenders.

For Outstanding Actress in a Comedy, Lea Michelle, who stars as Rachel Berry in "Glee," will see herself competing against the likes of Tina Fey ("30 Rock") and Julia Louis-Dreyfus ("The New Adventures of Old Christine").

In the Outstanding Actor in a Comedy category, Matthew Morrison, who also stars in "Glee" as show choir teacher Will Schuester, will be pitted against comedy bigwigs Larry David ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") and Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock").

However, the dramatic categories may offer even more thrilling results.

For Outstanding Actress in a Drama, a notable contender is Julianna Margulies, who currently stars in "The Good Wife." She will be competing against Glenn Close ("Damages") and Kyra Sedgwick ("The Closer").

As expected, Jon Hamm was nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Drama for "Mad Men," in which he plays high-powered ad executive Don Draper. He will be vying for the Emmy on August 29 along with Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad") and Michael C. Hall ("Dexter").ADNFCR-2673-ID-19882945-ADNFCR
