Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly are magnificent in "Creation"

Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly are wonderful in "Creation," a part biographical, part fictional account of the life of Charles Darwin. The drama, which stars the real-life married couple, will be available on DVD June 29. Bettany plays Darwin, whose daughter, Annie (Martha West), dies when she is only 10 years old. The scientist is distraught by her passing, and begins to scoff at the idea of divine intervention. However, his ideals strongly conflict with those of his religious wife, Emma (Connelly). Despite the criticism of those closest to him, including the other members of his church, Darwin goes on to pen is famous book "On the Origin of the Species." While Bettany and Connelly work beautifully together in "Creation," the drama isn't the first time the husband-and-wife duo has appeared on screen with one another. In fact, they were both cast in last year's action-fantasy "Inkheart," and met on the set of the 2001 Academy Award-winning film "A Beautiful Mind."
