Is Steve Carell tired of being a paper pusher? According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor may be resigning from his gig as Michael Scott, the resident boss of Dunder Mifflin on NBC's "The Office."

"I think [season] seven will be my last year," he told the news source over the weekend at the premiere of his upcoming animated film, "Despicable Me." "I want to fulfill my contract. I think it's a good time to move on."

It looks like Carell is serious about his decision. When asked if anything might lead him to change his mind, the talented actor stood firm on his decision. "No. I just want to spend more time with my family," he told the news outlet.

Although Carell catapulted to stardom after landing the lead role on "The Office," the talented actor has had quite the burgeoning movie career. In fact, Carell recently showed his softer side in the 2007 romantic comedy "Dan in Real Life," and starred with Tina Fey in the action-comedy "Date Night."ADNFCR-2673-ID-19864266-ADNFCR
