Susan Sarandon and Carey Mulligan are incredible in "The Greatest"

A number of A-list actors are at their best in "The Greatest," a sentimental drama that was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance last year. Luckily for movie buffs, the film will be released on DVD Tuesday, July 13. Susan Sarandon and Pierce Brosnan star as Grace and Allen Brewer, respectively. The couple is grieving after the unexpected passing of their son, Bennett (Aaron Johnson). As the tragedy threatens to tear the family apart, the Brewers receive a surprising visit from Rose (Carey Mulligan), a young girl who is pregnant with Bennett's child. Her arrival causes more friction, but the family soon discovers she is the glue that will keep them together. Aside from Sarandon and Brosnan, "The Greatest" boasts a number of talented actors. In fact, Mulligan was nominated for an Oscar last year for her performance in "An Education" and Johnson was seen in the recent hit film "Kick-Ass." He is also set to appear in the sequel to the superhero comedy, "Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall," which is slated to hit theaters in 2012. Home audiences who view "The Greatest" on Blu-ray are in for a treat, as interviews with Pierce Brosnan, Carey Mulligan and director Shana Feste will be included.
