Daniel Craig rumored to be joining "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"

Will Daniel Craig be the first official actor cast in the American remake of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo?" According to TheWrap.com, the star of "Casino Royale" is the frontrunner for a much-desired role. The news source reports that Craig has flown out to Los Angeles to meet with David Fincher, who is set to direct all three films in the upcoming franchise. The other two chapters in Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy are "The Girl Who Played with Fire" and "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest." Larsson's books have been immensely popular since their release, selling over 25 million copies worldwide. The Danish version of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" made its way to theaters earlier this year and opened to stellar reviews. It looks like the thrilling series is bound to be a success, as Fincher is adept at directing suspenseful, nail-biting dramas. The talented guy previously helmed "Fight Club" as well as "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
