Orlando Bloom officially joins "The Three Musketeers"

It looks like Orlando Bloom will be appearing in yet another action-adventure period piece. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the British actor has been cast as a villain in "The Three Musketeers." His character, the Duke of Buckingham, is the arch-nemesis to the adventurous trio. The movie, which is slated to hit theaters in 2011, will also star Academy Award-winner Christoph Waltz as Cardinal Richelieu and Milla Jovovich as Milady de Winter, a former love of Athos. The exciting project is also scheduled to be released in 3D. Orlando Bloom may have found his niche with big budget films. The talented English actor appeared in all three chapters of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies as Will Turner, and wooed audiences with his performance as Legolas Greenleaf in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. It looks like the film may have a spooky side to it, as it's being directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, who also helmed the horror classics "Resident: Evil" and "AVP: Alien vs. Predator."
