Fans of romanctic tales will adore "Dear John," a film based on the bestselling book by Nicholas Sparks. The famous author also penned "The Notebook," which became a hit amongst sentimental moviegoers.

The film centers on John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a bright-eyed soldier with the Army Special Forces, and Savannah Lynn Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), a young college student. When John is on leave, the two meet and instantly fall for one another.

The couple, whose affair continues as John is deployed to Iraq, begins to write love letters to one another. However, as the years go on, their passion becomes strained and their lives take different turns.

Seyfried's career has blossomed over the past few years. While the talented and beautiful actress first appeared on the public radar in "Mean Girls," she has recently starred in "Mamma Mia!" as well as the thriller "Chloe."

Seyfried has been cast in "The Girl with the Red Riding Hood," which will be in theaters in 2012. The film is slated to be directed by Catherine Hardwicke, who helmed "Twilight."ADNFCR-2673-ID-19788276-ADNFCR
