Kevin Costner takes on a new role in "The New Daughter"

"The New Daughter," a horror film starring Kevin Costner, will be out on DVD on May 18. The movie also stars Ivana Baquero of "Pan's Labyrinth" in her first English-speaking role. The film centers on John James (Costner), a novelist and recent widower who moves to a new house with his family. He has a son, Sam (Gattlin Griffith) and teenage daughter Louisa (Baquero). John and Louisa's relationship is strained. As her behavior becomes even more bizarre, John soon realizes that there is an evil presence lurking in his home, and he and his family may be in grave danger. Baquero, a talented young actress, was nominated for a slew of awards after she appeared as Ofelia in "Pan's Labyrinth." However, it looks like her Hollywood career may be taking off. The sixteen year old was cast in "Keeper of the Pinstripes," a film rumored to also be starring Tim Robbins, which will be in theaters next year.
