James Cox to direct "Billionaire Boys Club"

James Cox, who previously helmed the crime drama "Wonderland," will be putting his directing cap on again for "Billionaire Boys Club," according to the Hollywood Reporter. Based on a true story, the crime drama will center on a group of young boys who attend the prestigious Harvard School for Boys during the 1980s. After losing money they schemed from investors, the gang resorts to kidnapping, extortion and murder. Cox said he was inspired by the trials he watched as a child, as well as some recent films. "As soon as I started doing research, I discovered there were certain events that no one had written about or discussed before," he told the news outlet. "As we were writing this, I thought, 'What if 'Wall Street' became 'Alpha Dog' halfway through?" A remake of the original "Wall Street" is due in theaters in September of this year.
