"Five Minutes of Heaven," which stars Liam Neeson, is an intense cinematic experience. The film is based on true events that took place in Northern Ireland in 1975.

When the story begins, 16-year-old Alistair Little (Mark Davison), who belongs to the Ulster Volunteer Force, attacks and kills a young catholic named James Griffin. His brother witnesses the murder.

The second part of the movie is fictional. It imagines a scenario 33 years later, when a documentary crew tries to get Alistair (now played by Neeson) and Griffin's brother Joe (James Nesbitt) in the same room. What they do not know is that Joe is planning to avenge his brother's murder.

"Five Minutes of Heaven" was nominated for three Sundance film awards, including the coveted Grand Jury Prize. The movie's director, Oliver Hirschbiegel, won the Best Director award while the scribe of the film, Guy Hibbert, took home the World Cinema Screenwriting Award.

Neeson's thriller "Taken" was a box office smash in 2008. The talented actor will be appearing next in the horror film "After.Life," which will be released this year.ADNFCR-2673-ID-19740295-ADNFCR
