"Crazy Heart" stars Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal

"Crazy Heart" will be released on DVD on April 20, and it's bound to be a bestseller. The film, which stars Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal, was a hit with both critics and audiences. Bridges won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film, as the character Bad Blake. The story revolves around Blake, an alcoholic country musician who struggles to recapture the fame he had years ago. After a performance one day, Blake meets Jean Craddock (Gyllenhaal), a reporter who wants to profile him for her publication. There is a spark between the pair, and when Blake pursues a relationship with Jean and meets her son, Buddy (Jack Nation), he realizes it may be time to make some serious changes in his life. The film also stars Colin Farrell as Tommy Sweet, a popular country musician who reminds Blake of the success he experienced in his youth. "Crazy Heart" marks the first Oscar win for Bridges, but the actor has been nominated for the award for several films, including "The Contender" and "Starman."
