"Tenderness" stars Russell Crowe

Audiences who love thrillers are anticipating the release of "Tenderness." The drama, which stars Russell Crowe and Laura Dern, will be available on DVD April 13. Crowe stars as Detective Cristofuoro, a policeman who put away Eric Poole (Jon Foster), years ago. Eric was convicted for killing his family and Cristofuoro is convinced he's a psychopath. When Eric is released from a juvenile penitentiary, the stoic policeman starts following him. Soon, Poole gets into some trouble with a young runaway, Lori (Sophie Traub). "Tenderness" was directed by John Polson, an actor, writer, director and producer. Polson also helmed the movie "Swimfan" and has directed several episodes of the ABC mystery-drama "FlashForward." The versatile performer also appeared in "Mission: Impossible II." Crowe was most recently seen in the mystery-drama "State of Play." The Australian actor currently has many projects in the works, including the long-awaited film "Robin Hood." His romantic drama "The Next Three Days," which also stars Olivia Wilde, is due for release this November.
