"The Slammin' Salmon" will be released on DVD April 13, and it's bound to be a hit. The film was penned by the Broken Lizard comedy troupe, who also wrote the screenplay to the popular slapstick movie "Super Troopers.""The Slammin' Salmon" tells the story of a group of people who work in a restaurant together. One day Cleon "Slammin" Salmon (Michael Clarke Duncan), the owner and a former boxing champion, starts a contest to discover which waiter can earn the most in a single night. The winner will receive a $10,000 prize. As expected, chaos ensues as the employees try to beat one another for first place. It's understandable why the wait staff takes on competitive attitudes - the loser is told he or she will get a beating from Cleon. The film stars all of the Broken Lizard troupe players. Cobie Smulders, who stars in the hit television sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" as Robin Scherbatsky, was also cast in the film as Tara.
