"Crazy on the Outside" was written and directed by Tim Allen

"Crazy on the Outside," written and directed by Tim Allen, is a treat for parents and young teens. The PG-13 comedy, which also stars Ray Liotta and Sigourney Weaver, will be released on DVD April 13. The film centers on Tommy Zelda (Allen), a man who has recently been released from prison. As he returns to his old life, he soon finds himself dealing with his crazy sister Vicky (Weaver) and his wacky partner in crime, Gray (Liotta). Tommy also tries to date single mom Angela (Jeanne Tripplehorn), but it isn't long before he realizes that life behind bars may have been less chaotic than his existence as a free man. "Crazy on the Outside" marks the feature film directorial debut for Allen. However, the funnyman previously helmed an episode of "Home Improvement," the comedy series in which he played family man and television star Tim Taylor for eight seasons.
