Winona Ryder will star in "Your Cheating Heart"

It looks like Winona Ryder may be experiencing a surge in her career. According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress beat out Uma Thurman and Kate Beckinsale for a role in a new Ron Howard project. The film, "Your Cheating Heart," centers on two best friends (to be played by Kevin James and Vince Vaughn). Eventually, Vaughn's character will discover that his best buddy's wife is having an affair. Ryder is set to play James' philandering spouse. Ryder has starred in several hit films. She appeared in "Reality Bites" as Lelaina Pierce and "Edward Scissorhands" as Kim Bogs. She was also nominated for two Academy Awards - one for her performance in "Little Women" as Jo March and another for "The Age of Innocence" as the character May Welland. The actress recently wrapped filming Darren Aronofsky's "Black Swan" and will appear in a CBS mini-series titled "When Love is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story" as the title character.
