Print this article Peter Hedges' new novel "The Heights" was released just last month, but it looks like the book is a hit. The tome is already set to be developed into a feature-length film.
Variety reports that Focus Features has acquired the rights to take the enthralling tale to the silver screen.
"I'm thrilled to be working with Peter again. He is a filmmaker of great warmth and humor, and with 'The Heights' we will be taking full advantage of his considerable skills," John Lyons, a producer for the studio, told the news source.
