Moviegoers who are still longing for another installment in the lives of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader can rejoice. According to Variety, an animated "Star Wars" series is currently in development.

Green, who recently appeared in "Old Dogs" as the character Ralph White, will be the project's creative consultant. The comedic series will be produced by the man behind "Robot Chicken," Matt Senreich.

Senreich assured fans that the show will be funny, but not over-the-top.

"We're not talking about Jar-Jar electrocuting his tongue. It's not that kind of humor. If George [Lucas] would have wanted to make that version of 'Star Wars,' he would have hired other people to do it," Senreich told the news source.

Green is certainly busy these days. The actor will soon be lending his voice to the animated feature film "Mars Needs Moms!" as the lead character, Milo.

Green also voices the role of Chris Griffin in the hit animated series "Family Guy."ADNFCR-2673-ID-19706647-ADNFCR
