"Home of the Giants" stars Haley Joel Osment

"Home of the Giants," which stars Haley Joel Osment, will be released on DVD April 6. The PG-13 film marks Osment's return to acting after a six-year hiatus. Osment plays Robert "Gar" Gartland, a 17-year-old aspiring journalist who adores his high school basketball team. His best friend, Matt Morrison (Ryan Merriman), is the talented point guard for the school and is beloved by his hometown. One day, Matt persuades Gar to help him rob a local drug dealer. When things go awry, Gar must choose between doing the right thing and helping his friend and school basketball team. Fans of Osmsent will recognize the young actor from "The Sixth Sense," where he played the paranormal-viewing protagonist, Cole Sear. Osment also appeared as the lead character Trevor McKinney in the drama "Pay It Forward," which starred Helen Hunt and Kevin Spacey.
