"Free Willy: Escape from Pirate's Cove" will be released on DVD April 6

Fans of the original "Free Willy" movie will surely enjoy "Free Willy: Escape from Pirate's Cove." The film stars Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin. The story centers on Kirra Cooper (Irwin), a young Australian girl who flies to South Africa to visit her grandfather, Gus Grisby (Beau Bridges). After arriving, she becomes invested in the fate of a baby orca that is stranded in a nearby lagoon and needs help. The film also follows the character Rolf (Stephen Jennings), the arch-rival of Gus. Rolf owns an amusement park and wants the orca, which Kirra names Willy, for his own evil intentions. Bridges, a veteran actor and brother to recent Academy Award-winning actor Jeff Bridges, gives a fine performance in the PG-rated film. Beau has most recently been cast in several television roles, including Carl Hickey in "My Name is Earl" and Eli Scruggs in "Desperate Housewives."
