Penelope Cruz will star in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides"

Penelope Cruz' career is on a roll. After winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress last year for her performance in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," the actress has been seen in a number of big budget films and has garnered endless critical praise. Now Cruz, whom is known in her native Spain as The Spanish Enchantress, has been cast in "Pirates of the Carribbean: On Stranger Tides" as the feisty love interest of Johnny Depp's iconic swashbuckling character, Captain Jack Sparrow. The film follows Captain Jack as he heads out to uncover the Fountain of Youth. Along the way he runs into some strange characters and encounters villains such as Blackbeard (Ian McShane). Keira Knightley, who played the beautiful Elizabeth Swann in the first three "Pirates of the Caribbean" films will not be reprising her role. "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," is slated to be directed by Rob Marshall, who won an Academy Award for "Chicago." Featured Titles: Vicky Cristina Barcelona DVD $5.99
