Print this article 3D movies are all the rage now, and it looks like the fad will continue for a while. Disney has just announced their film "Mars Needs Moms!," which is scheduled for release in March 2011, will be available to watch in three-dimensional footage.
According to Variety, the project stars Seth Green as Milo, a boy who starts to appreciate his mom after she's abducted by aliens. Joan Cusack, who is best known for her expert comedic timing, has been cast as Milo's mother. The actress recently appeared as Jane in "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and was also seen in the film "Martian Child," a drama.
3D is making huge waves in movie theaters at the moment. James Cameron's epic "Avatar" got audiences all around the country to don the age-old plastic lenses while the stop-motion hit "Coraline" was projected with the same stunning depth.
There are several other films slated to be released in 3D. The Nicolas Cage thriller "Drive Angry" and the action-fantasy "Sucker Punch" will make their way into theaters in early 2011.
