Print this article Sandra Bullock, whom many believe is experiencing the most successful year of her career, collected two statuettes for her acting this past weekend. Still, one award may elicit chuckles rather than adoration.
The veteran actress received the Best Actress accolade at last night's Academy Awards for the critically-acclaimed "The Blind Side." It was her first Oscar nomination and first win.
Bullock also attended the Razzie Awards on Saturday, where she received the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress. The "honor" was for her work in the comedy "All About Steve," which was panned by both critics and moviegoers.
Bullock proved to be a good sport about her Razzie, making her way to the podium with a handful of DVDs of the box-office disaster. "I will show up next year if you promise to watch the movie, and really consider whether it was really and truly the worst performance," she told the audience.
Her win for Worst Actress may have contributed to her modest speech at the Oscars. "Did I really earn this, or did I just wear you down?" she asked the audience.
