"The Notebook," which told the epic love story of Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) and Allie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams) made both of its leads household names, and defined the idea of romance for a generation of teenagers.

Will "The Yellow Handkerchief" follow in "The Notebook's" footsteps?

The film follows two parallel love stories - that of ex-convict Brett Hanson (William Hurt), who is still in love with his ex-wife May (Maria Bello), and Martine (Kristen Stewart), a 15-year-old runaway and Gordy (Eddie Redmayne), an outcast who falls for the vulnerable young woman.

When Brett is released from prison, he begins a pilgrimage through the South to be reunited with May, and picks up Martine and Gordy along the way. The three discuss and explore the idea of love as they seek acceptance and understanding from one another.

Stewart is already well-known for her portrayal of Bella Swan in "The
Twilight Saga,"
films though Redmayne has been hovering on the edges of fame for his performances in films such as "The Good Shepherd " and "The Other Boleyn Girl."ADNFCR-2673-ID-19641561-ADNFCR
