"Alice in Wonderland" will hit theaters March 5

The much-anticipated "Alice in Wonderland" will hit theaters next week, and audiences can't wait. The film, which is directed by Tim Burton, features two of his favorite actors - Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen. The film also stars Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. Alan Rickman lends his sleepy voice and world-weary intonation to the role of the droll Caterpillar, and Crispin Glover appears as the Knave of Hearts, the scarred head of the Red Queen's army. The film picks up 10 years after the original story of Alice in Wonderland ends. Alice is now a young woman who is being pressured into marrying a man whom she does not love. When she takes off into the woods to have a moment to herself, she rediscovers the magical rabbit hole. Alice is again transported to Wonderland, where she is drawn into a subversive war against the tyrannical Red Queen. Fans of Tim Burton's other fantastical films, such as "Edward Scissorhands" or "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" are sure to enjoy "Alice in Wonderland."
