Print this article Video game fans are anxiously awaiting the release of "Heavy Rain," which has generated a lot of buzz, despite the fact that not much is known about the details of the plot as of yet.
The game's director, David Cage, said in an interview with Chief, a Belgian magazine, that the game will be, "A very dark film noir thriller with mature themes . . . the real message [of the game] is about how far you're willing to go to save someone you love."
According to GameSpot.com, the story follows a group of characters who are somehow all related, though at first it is not apparent how. The game will explore ideas about good and evil, and focus on a father's love for his children and how that affection informs his choices.
Cage has helmed other successful games such as "Omikron: The Nomad Soul" and "Fahrenheit."
Fans who enjoy games with atmospheric settings and intriguing plots like "Final Fantasy" are likely to have fun with "Heavy Rain," which is only available for the PlayStation 3.
