"The Ghost Writer" stars Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan

"The Ghost Writer" tells the story of a successful British author who is asked to finish the memoirs of the former British Prime Minister Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnan). McGregor's character (whose name is never revealed) accepts the job, in spite of the fact that the project has been plagued with obstacles, such as the death of the first writer, Lang's aide. As soon as the writer begins work on the project, Lang becomes the center of a controversy. The deeper the wordsmith digs, the more he finds out about the politician's past, and he soon begins to question why he was brought onto the project. The film was helmed by Roman Polanski, who has become famous for his atmospheric and dark thrillers. Fans of the director's pervious work, like "The Ninth Gate" or "The Pianist" will be sure to enjoy the intrigue of "The Ghost Writer." The director, who is currently under house arrest, finished post-production from his home in Switzerland, and was unable to attend the movie premiere. Featured Titles: Ninth Gate DVD $7.99
