The footage featured in "Michael Jackson: This Is It" was not originally intended to be released, but when the music superstar passed away unexpectedly, the video of Jackson rehearsing for his latest tour and working with his team was complied by director Kenny Ortega as both a tribute to Jackson and as a gift to his fans.

Filming took place backstage at two famous venues, the Staples Center arena and the Forum in Los Angeles.

And, just as the famous musician was the center of many controversies in life, the filmmakers received some heat when it was alleged that Ortega used body doubles in some scenes, though the production company denied the allegations.

Jackson fans will be sure to appreciate this intimate look at the singer's last days, and music buffs will appreciates the historical value of the film.

Moviegoers who've enjoyed other concert films, like "The Last Waltz" or "Concert for Bangladesh" will also like "Michael Jackson: This Is It."ADNFCR-2673-ID-19548769-ADNFCR
