Print this article Bryce Dallas Howard, the daughter of legendary director Ron Howard, recently told MTV News that she was very nervous about starring in "The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond," a movie script written by Tennessee Williams that hasn't been made into a film until now.
"This was the first time I was a little concerned before doing [a movie], because I was like, 'Oh my goodness. It's originating a Tennessee Williams heroine. If I mess it up, it's like literary blasphemy,' "the actress told the news source.
The actress did have some talented shoes to fill. Vivien Leigh stared in Elia Kazan's film adaptation of Williams' "A Streetcar Named Desire," and one of Elizabeth Taylor's most memorable roles included her portrayal of Maggie Pollitt in 1958's "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof."
"The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond" tells the story of Fisher Willow, a southern belle who struggles to gain acceptance among the aristocrats after her father sullies the family name.
