Zac Efron stars in the latest Richard Linklater project

Richard Linklater has helmed some much-loved films in recent years, including the cult favorites "School of Rock,""Dazed and Confused" and "Waking Life." Now the director pays homage to one of the fathers of modern cinema in his latest project "Me and Orson Welles." The film is based on the play of the same name written by Robert Kaplow. The plot centers on Richard Samuels (played by heartthrob Zac Efron, to the delight of women everywhere), a young man who is cast by Orson Welles (Christian McKay) to appear in his production of "Julius Caesar" on Broadway. The film marks a departure for Efron, who previously appeared in the "High School Musical" films and "17 Again." Claire Danes also appears as Sonja Jones, a beautiful production assistant with whom Richard quickly falls head-over-heels in love. Fans of Linklater's other projects will be sure to love the quirky story, but any movie buff worth their salt also make time for some of Welles' own masterpieces like "Citizen Kane," or "Touch of Evil" before seeing the film.
