Print this article "Little Miss Sunshine" put young Abigail Breslin in a lead role as Olive, the quirky little girl with dreams of winning a beauty pageant. Despite her unconventional pageant style, Olive encourages her family to root for her in her journey.
Now, media sources reveal that Breslin is taking some time out of her film career to perform on Broadway. Her appearance in "The Miracle Worker" marks her debut on the Great White Way. Breslin will play a young Helen Keller in the play that was written by William Gibson. It is based upon Keller's autobiography.
Breslin recently appeared in "Zombieland" alongside Jesse Eisenberg, previously seen in "Adventureland," and Woody Harrelson. Prior to that, the young actress Breslin had the chance to polish her acting skills alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones in the foodie romantic comedy, "No Reservations."
In "No Reservations", Breslin played Zoe. She went to live with Zeta-Jones (Kate) after her mother - and Kate's sister - was killed in an auto accident. Meanwhile, Kate, an executive chef at a top-notch New York restaurant, had to adapt her life to accomodate Zoe.
