"Star Wars" has been parodied on shows from "Robot Chicken" to "Family Guy," but remains one of the best-loved trilogies of all time. It has inspired everything from Halloween costumes to games and secret societies. After director George Lucas told the "missing" parts of the story through the three movies of the "Star Wars" prequel, fans resigned themselves to simply enjoy the movies for years to come.

However, a slew of media sources may give fans a touch of hope for new "Star Wars" features. It turns out there is a disturbance in the force and some believe that Lucas is planning another "Star Wars" trilogy. Market Saw reportedly broke this rumor, and even went on to speculate who the movies’ director will be.

"I have been hearing rumblings... extremely quiet at first, but now heating up significantly and from a trusted source - that George Lucas is preparing to unleash another 'Star Wars' trilogy upon us," the news source revealed.

In addition, the source claims that these new movies will be "in stereoscopic 3D." If these rumors are true, fans are in for quite the cinematic treat.
