"Ugly Betty" returns to the small screen

The glamorous America Ferrera plays the less-than-fashion-savvy Betty Suarez in the hit TV show on ABC , "Ugly Betty." The fourth season of this offbeat take on the fashion world recently came back to television screens across the country. The series follows Betty and her trials and tribulations working at the ultra-suave fashion magazine, Mode. Betty wants to be a writer, but since everyone has to start somewhere, she begins her career as an assistant to Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius) who is the magazine-owner's son. Daniel often likes to party more than work, and while he'd prefer a more conventionally attractive assistant, he and Betty develop a close bond over "Ugly Betty: Season 1." Throughout "Ugly Betty: Season 2" and "Ugly Betty: Season 3," the show's title character learns to deal with changes at the magazine, falls in love and takes her own apartment. The fourth season, airing now, may not see Betty improve her fashion sense - she continues to be clueless about style - but she has moved up at Mode, garnering the position of Associate Editor.
