"Aussie and Ted's Great Adventure," great for the kids

If your kids have watched "Homeward Bound" so many times that they've memorized the lines, it's time to surprise them with a new four-legged adventure story. "Aussie and Ted's Great Adventure" arrives on DVD October 6 and is sure to captivate kids and families. The Brooks family is faced with difficult financial times, but the youngest daughter Laney (Alyssa Schafer) loves playing with Aussie, the family dog who was rescued when he was a stray on her dad's (Dean Cain) trip to Australia. Laney receives a special teddy bear (Ted) that glows when she loves it, which leads the jealous Aussie to deliberately lose the bear because he misses the young girl's attention. She is devastated by the loss, and to make her happy again, Aussie embarks on a journey to retrieve Ted - whose location he does not know. Eventually, Aussie manages to make his way back to the family - with Ted, of course. Through this long search for his owners, the bear and Aussie learn about commitment, friendship and perseverance. Consider showing "Aussie and Ted's Great Adventure" along with a teddy bear's picnic - indoors, of course. Little ones can bring their bears to the screening and you can make and serve bite-sized sandwiches for humans and their furry companions.
