Print this article Michael Jackson fans have found a way to show their support for his work even though he is no longer present to reap their well-wishes. Tickets to the new documentary, "This Is It," about the superstar have already surpassed expectations and the film has yet to hit theaters.
Media sources reveal that advance ticket sales for next month's release have already broken records in big cities like Los Angeles, New York, Houston and San Francisco. The documentary will only be in theaters for two weeks, making tickets to screenings even more valuable.
"This Is It" is comprised of behind-the-scenes footage taken while Jackson was preparing for what was meant to be his latest world tour. It includes backstage access, plus scenes of rehearsals for the performances.
For those who can't get tickets to a "This Is It" screening, or who don't want to wait, consider picking up another Jackson documentary. "Moonwalking: The True Story of Michael Jackson" examines the artist as a person and how his life experiences shaped him. The documentary also looks at his later years, and the DVD comes with an exclusive book about the star.
