Paul Giamatti: Back at work

Movie fans who enjoy both good wine and the talents of Paul Giamatti loved his comedy, "Sideways." In this film, he and his soon-to-be married friend take a bachelor's road trip to celebrate California vineyards, with a bit of a disastrous outcome. Rather than taking on another downtrodden role, such as Miles in "Sideways," Giamatti is slated to play a hero in the new film, "Ironclad." According to Variety Magazine, this actor will play King John in this film about knights in 13th century England. Filming will reportedly start in Wales next month. "Ironclad" unites this quirky character actor with producer Rick Bennattar - who also worked with the actor on "Shoot 'Em Up." In this darkly humorous film, Giamatti plays the bad guy from whom Smith (Clive Owen) is protecting a newborn baby. For those who enjoy more of the actor’s dramatic roles , Giamatti appears as John Adams in the HBO series, "John Adams." He won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe award for his performance. Now available on DVD, this miniseries follows Adams's life as he works to help establish the American government as we know it today.
