In"Grey's Anatomy: Season Five" on DVD, Dr. Izzie Stevens develops a life-threatening form of skin cancer. For many episodes, she struggles with treatment and her condition while trying to live as normal a life as possible.

Katherine Heigl, the actress who places Dr. Stevens, is indeed full of life and planning for her future outside of the series because this talented star recently announced that she and her musician husband, Josh Kelley plan to adopt a girl from Korea.

According to ABC News, the actress, currently sporting a classy brunette 'do, told the world of her plans on the Ellen DeGeneres show.

Reportedly, the new addition to Heigl's household will be 10 months old at the end of September and the Daily Mail further reveals that the little one's birthday falls the day before her mom-to-be.

Heigl also told the source that her new daughter will be called Nataleigh and is named after a combination of her mother and sister, Nancy and Leigh.

While Heigl is said to be on a leave of absence from "Grey's Anatomy" while she films "Life As We Know It," fans can certainly catch up with her most recent appearances on the "Grey's Anatomy: Season Five" DVD set.
