For some fall inspiration, consider "Gifted Hands"

Individuals who choose not to purchase cable television packages often miss moving made-for-television films. For example, "Gifted Hands" is set to be released on September 8 for DVD and non-cable subscribers will be able to enjoy this uplifting movie. "Gifted Hands" tells the story of Dr Ben Carson (played by Cuba Gooding Jr.) who worked hard in order to become an incredibly talented and respected neurosurgeon. Raised in a single-parent home and despite the fact he received less than impressive grades as a child, Carson studied and followed his dream in order to eventually become a professor of neurosurgery, oncology, plastic surgery and pediatrics at Johns Hopkins school of medicine. Originally airing on TNT, "Gifted Hands" was described by The Boston Globe as "inspiring" and viewers may expect to be "wiping away a warm tear of joy over the strength of the human spirit." Today, Carson has over 50 honorary doctorate degrees and was deemed one of the Library of Congress' 89 Living Legends in 2001.
