Shin Megami Tensei IV : Nintendo 3DS Description
After releasing two updated ports on Nintendo's handheld system, Atlus brings an original adventure from its demon-themed RPG series to the 3DS for the first time in Shin Megami Tensei IV. Gamers take control of the 18-year-old protagonist, who travels to the medieval Mikado Castle, becomes one of five new Samurai recruits, and heads to the modern city of Tokyo to find a Black Samurai who is turning people into demons. Manichaean themes and mature subjects also permeate the game as players witness struggles between rich and poor, good and evil, and justice and injustice.

Expanded Description
After releasing two updated ports on Nintendo's handheld system, Atlus brings an original adventure from its demon-themed RPG series to the 3DS for the first time in Shin Megami Tensei IV. Gamers take control of the 18-year-old protagonist, who travels to the medieval Mikado Castle, becomes one of five new Samurai recruits, and heads to the modern city of Tokyo to find a Black Samurai who is turning people into demons. Manichaean themes and mature subjects also permeate the game as players witness struggles between rich and poor, good and evil, and justice and injustice.

The in-game action features 3D exploration, fully voiced dialogue for conversations and animated cut-scenes, and turn-based first-person combat. As always, much of the action involves gamers summoning demons to fight alongside them, engaging the demons in conversation in an attempt to gain new allies, and fusing demons together to create more powerful creatures. The Press Turn battle system remains a vital part of combat, allowing players to zero in on an opponent's weakness and earn extra turns. Gamers earn items and experience after battles, and they can take on a variety of side quests in addition to the lengthy main campaign.
