Players begin the quest as Weiss, a young amnesiac man who is responsible for unwittingly killing a deity and unleashing a plague of demons into the world. As in all entries of the series, the game mixes turn-based battles with affairs of the heart, asking gamers to court a variety of potential mates and produce offspring, with Weiss' child and grandchild becoming the protagonists later in the game.
Expanded Description Idea Factory's generation-spanning strategy RPG returns to PS3 gamers with a new protagonist, an updated battle system, and suggestive new mini-games in Record of Agarest War 2.
There are 18 potential party members spread throughout the three generations of action in Record of Agarest War 2, and all characters accrue experience points from the turn-based combat, even though only four members can battle at the same time. Each character has unique attacks, and members of the party can combine to perform special collaborative assaults. The "Soul Breed" system now includes PlayStation Move-enabled massage, bathtub, and shiatsu mini-games to help strengthen relationships, but for the first time in the series, players can also get married when a relationship is poor, though it produces offspring with subpar stats.
This "Limited Edition" includes the full game, a blow-up character doll, a heart-shaped compressed towel, and an art book.
