Expanded Description
Frogger 3D for Nintendo 3DS presents the classic dash-and-dodge hopping action of the iconic coin-op game, with an original three-dee twist. Presented from an isometric perspective in stereoscopic 3D, the game's stages are based on the top-down arcade classic, except that Frogger can hop up above street level in some places, onto crates, phone booths, or even the roofs of passing vehicles. Additional levels mix up the action, including forced-scrolling sequences in which Frogger must dodge left or right to avoid oncoming obstacles, and a rotating, Tempest-like game board that challenges players to make their way to the center of a busy roundabout. The game hops through 60 stages in six themed game worlds, including "New York," "Casino," "The Far East," and "Space." In some stages, Frogger needs help from powered-up frog friends he finds along the way, to muscle through blockades, light up dark places, and employ other special abilities in unusual situations. In addition to his traffic jam woes, Frogger sometimes must avoid hungry rats and slithery snakes, running rampant. Multiplayer options include wireless competition for up to four, and SteetPass battles in the game's "Forever" mode.
