Ultimate Fighting Championship revives the Pride on PS3. UFC Undisputed 3 debuts a mode based on the premier Japanese mixed martial arts league, featuring Pride FC rules, arenas, and athletes. Building on previous entries in the Yuke's-developed series, the game also adds enhanced feints and attack moves, a new submission system, and brutal options for finishing off a downed opponent. In addition to the standard "Pro" control scheme, UFC Undisputed 3 offers a simplified "Amateur" option, with play assists to help new players hold their own against CPU opponents and UFC veterans.
Undisputed 3 features over 150 real-life martial artists, including athletes in the newly opened featherweight and bantamweight divisions, and the addition of Pride fighters to the well-rounded rosters of earlier games. Fighters display more emotions in their facial expressions in the heat of battle. New camera angles highlight the big hits and takedowns, in a broadcast-style presentation and commentary by authentic Pride and UFC ringside announcers. PSN-connected gamers can battle online, in a revamped selection of multiplayer modes focused on merciless competition.
