Appearing on store shelves at the launch of the Nintendo 3DS handheld, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars presents movie- and TV series-inspired missions, a far-away galaxy setting, and LEGO-style platform action, in stereoscopic three-dimensional display. In the style of earlier LEGO Star Wars releases, players lead their favorite heroes and villains into sci-fi high adventure, battling dark enemies and outsmarting tricky situations. Different characters have different abilities, and the game's building-block platform puzzles can be solved in more than one way. Completing missions gives access to additional ship parts and playable characters. Never-before-featured weapons and vehicles are available, and light sabers can now be used for puzzle-solving purposes such as cutting and climbing. Flying Clone Wars vehicles and three-dimensional deep-space dogfights are part of the game, as well. The 3DS version of LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars also uses the handheld's Street Pass feature to help players unlock additional characters and content.
