Expanded Description Sonic Colors for DS features the same storyline and themed worlds as the Wii version, albeit with different levels that take advantage of the dual-screen display. The action takes place from a side-scrolling perspective as Sonic races through each world's three stages, consisting of two platform-style sequences and a boss battle. Colorful creatures called wisps can be collected to imbue Sonic with temporary new powers, with an optional secondary objective being to locate a certain number of wisps in each world. Other key features include a time attack mode, which has you trying to beat each level within a certain time frame, hidden tokens to collect, and wireless support (local and online) for head-to-head competition against a friend. The handheld version of Sonic Colors is developed by Dimps, who designed the Sonic Rush series on the platform.
