Nintendo DS gamers play through climactic main events of the Shippuden storyline in Naruto vs. Sasuke. Childhood friends have developed into deadly rivals, destined to meet in a clash of politics, purpose, and raw power. The side-scrolling combat-adventure follows Naruto as he sets out to find Sasuke and bring his childhood companion back home. As he proceeds in his quest, through dangerous terrain full of monstrous beasts and villainous soldiers, Naruto begins to unravel a deep conspiracy, in which Sasuke seems to be playing a crucial role. Players can put together a squad of up to three available characters, and can swap team members on-the-fly for the best combination of fighting abilities in each battle. Two characters' Jutsu can be combined into devastating special attacks. Additional characters, with diverse styles of fighting, may be convinced to join Naruto's team and become available for play as they are encountered in the story. Along with the single-player adventure, Naruto Shippuden: Naruto vs. Sasuke supports local wireless multiplayer for up to four, in a competitive "Battle" mode and a cooperative "Boss Rush" mode.
