Based on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC version of the game, Split/Second races onto PSP with the same explosive action that distinguished the console and computer titles. You'll race across many of the same environments, keeping an eye on destructive elements that can crash down on opponents by activating the "power play" button at precisely the right time. The PSP version is designed to run at 30 frames per second, with up to four players supported via Ad-hoc wireless connection.
The "elimination," "air strike," and "detonator" play modes from earlier versions are included, along with new challenges for the PSP: "destruction," where you must eliminate rivals to earn bonus time and points; "power slide," which has you drifting across the track for points and extra time; and "keep on truckin," where you'll need to carefully avoid rival cars and barrels while driving a big rig. A PSP exclusive track is also included, which takes elements from the console versions' docks area to create a larger course.
